Spend some time with people ... get back into board games.

Recently, I have been spending a great deal of time playing card and board games. Germany has been cranking our some awesome titles with really unique designs. You won't find many of the great "new" games at Target or Toys "R" Us, however. You'll need to got to a GameKeeper or other specialty game store. Or check out www.funagaingames.com and order them online (tip: look at the top selling games for ideas).

I recommend games like ... The Settlers of Cataan and Bohnanza as well as the great party game "Apples to Apples" (which you may find at Target or Toys "R" Us. Other great resources for board game enthusiasts include boardgamegeek.com and The Games Journal

I'm working on a game as well I hope to have published in 2004.
Bad Guys Have All The Fun.

Villains with their own books seems to be the rising trend in comic book publishing. I personally watch comic book literature as an indicator of changing attitudes and trends. Villains have always fascinated us (Jesse James, Pirates, Al Capone, etc) and in them we see our own flawed self ... it is in the Hero that we see our idealized self. What could this turning tide mean?
